Vesting America's Police K-9's

Vesting America's Police K-9's is a subsidiary of Tread Armament Corp that is dedicated to providing bullet/stab proof vests for the K-9 officers of Utah, as well as other areas of this country.

Dogs employed in our law-enforcement K-9 units are asked to risk their lives on a daily basis, often without the protective equipment afforded to their human counterparts. . While on duty, law enforcement dogs are asked to risk their lives by going ahead of their human officers, often confronting serious and possibly fatal danger, to protect their human officers and our local communities.

We work in association with our partners in this project, TREAD Armament & Weaponry.

Our vests are the one of the lightest on the market, at only 2-1/2 pounds, and made of the thinnest material available, to ensure the dogs highest level of comfort. The vests are made of 13 layers of Kevlar, insulated with 1000 count thread. They are flame resistant, bullet proof at a level IIIa (can stop up to a .44 magnum point blank), and are stab resistant up to a 4" blade.

Vesting America's Police K-9's is a community project of Tread Armament & Weaponry.

Chance Vogel runs the Eastern & Midwest Chapter of Vesting America's Police and is the creator of Nicky's Law which will protect dogs

I wrote " Nicky's Law " in remembrance of K-9 Officer Nicky a Las Vegas Metro Prolice Department K-9 who was killed in the line of duty in 2016. This law will be the first ever Federal level law to protect police dogs from the city level all the way up to state and federal. I met with a representative from Senator Peter's office in Grand Rapids, MI and got the process going. The law say that if you assault, harass, maim, or kill a police dog you can face up to 25 years in prison, loss of all animals, $5,000 fine, and up to 5 years on probation/ parole. This is just the first step in securing the safety of our police dogs. Senator Peter's office will also be helping my chapter of Vesting American's Police K-9's get bulletproof vests to police departments that have dogs. " let's help him get the attention needed for this. The law will also create a national law enforcement safety registry that any criminal who is charged with a crime against against officer has to register on and it will be integrated with NCIC to help with officer safety. This registry will give full details on the charge so dispatch and the officer knows in every state.
